Teddy Swims at Clarke University Announcement!

 One night only! Teddy Swims will be at Clarke University on January 27th at Terence Donaghoe Hall Theatre at 8 pm, but doors will be open at 7:30 pm. So show up early to get some great seats! Teddy joins the Clarke community before embarking on his world tour. 

So you haven't heard about Teddy Swims... No worries! Let me give you just a little bit of information about him that may make this concert a necessity for you and your friends. To start, Teddy Swims is just his alias. Jaten Dimsdale wants to share his music with the world as to him music is empathy and the basis of connections. Now, how'd he ever come up with the name 'Teddy Swims'? Well, Swims simply stands for "Someone Who Isn't Me Sometimes." Swims talks in his biography on his website about his struggles through life and how he had anxiety but knew he had to be something better for himself. Getting his start from YouTube, you may not have thought that this star has been on the Kelly Clarkson Show where he serenaded millions of viewers at home, as well as being a guest on The Late Night Show with Stephan Colbert. This Atlanta native stays true to his roots with music featuring a mix of soul, R&B, country, and rock. Oh and I can't help but mention, HE'S WORKED WITH THOMAS RHETT. Hello! The Thomas Rhett!!! With all of these accolades, I believe his most important has been when Rolling Stone Magazine named him on their "Artists to Watch" list. This publicity has been more than beneficial to Teddy. With hit songs such as Bed on Fire, Picky (acoustic), 911, and Simple Things; I'm absolutely positive that we, the Clarke community, can expect an amazing show. I know I'm looking forward to it!
